The experience of Meconet is based on very long history. The roots of the company reach to end of 1800-century. Meconet was born in 2001 when Teräsjousi Oy, Holmtek Oy and their daughter companies joined together. 

1896         V.W. Holmberg Oy was founded by Mr. Victor Wilhelm Holmberg
1911         Holmberg Oy introduced the first deep drawing machine to Finland
1940         Teräsjousi Oy was founded Mr.Arvo Parmasuo and Mr.Viljo Maaranen 
1960         V.W.Holmberg Oy and Teräsjousi Oy began co-operation
1962         Teräsjousi Oy started manufacturing with first multi-slide machine in Finland
1986         Äänekoski Factory was built by Holmtek Oy
1989         Metmek Oy was founded in Pihtipudas by Teräsjousi Oy
1995-97   Teräsjousi and Holmtek founded daughter companies SMC Oy and ASP Oy and bought  two    
                  companies in Estonia, Teknotarvik Oü and Eraplast As
2001         Meconet Oy was built up by fusion of Holmtek Oy, Teräsjousi Oy, Metmek Oy, SMC Oy and ASP
                  Oy. Companies in Estonia became Meconet Baltic As

Today Meconet is a growing family-owned company. The main shareholders are Parmasuo and Helle families.
