Die springs

We offer die springs of six different strength classes

Die springs (ISO 10243) have been especially designed and manufactured for applications where great spring force is required in a limited space. Special material properties allow a large number of spring load variations. The springs are divided into eight (8) strength classes and colour-coded according to the strength class. The spring surfaces are colour code-painted to indicate the strength of the spring, not for protection purposes.

Our die springs are delivered directly from our warehouse to meet your needs.

Die spring material and surface treatments

Die springs are made of high-quality alloyed special steel with excellent technical characteristics as regards fatigue strength and heat resistance. These properties have decisive influence on the service life of a spring. The spring surface has also been treated by shot blasting and painting according to the colour code. If peeling of the paint could cause problems, die springs can also be delivered in the non-painted version.

Issues to be considered in die spring loading:

• The working stroke of the spring must be designed as short as possible.
• The maximum compression indicated for the spring may not be exceeded, since this affects the service life of the spring.
• The spring must be in internal or external control, harmful vibrations can avoided by preloading the spring.
